The Eleventh Plague Review

The second book I have read this year is a science fiction book named The Eleventh Plague by Jeff Hirsch. It is good book but not the greatest book of all time either. It has interesting enough characters and a story to keep you at the edge of the seat, but the book takes its time building up what these characters are living through and when it's done doing that, it drops the bomb on you. A good book, good characters, but a slow pace until you reach the climax of the story.

Quarter 1 Review

My classes so far are pretty good. My grades are good as well. Haven't gotten in much trouble either so hey, that's pretty good. For next quarter, I could improve my grades a bit more. They are good but they aren't the best. Maybe since I'm now in the flow of things, I can get better at my grades. My behavior has been good too but I could probably improve as well a tad bit. I tried out for basketball earlier today, but I don't get a response until tomorrow, but I think I did pretty good so I might get in. I won't get my hopes up though because I know I'm a little rusty still. If I don't get in to basketball, I'll probably find another extracurricular thing to do, but I don't know yet.

The Graveyard Book Review

The first book I read and chose to read for ELA this year was the Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. It's a graphic novel and has a somewhat interesting story. Not to get into much detail, characters such as Bod have an interesting background and some characters like Silas, have zero to no details about there back story but interesting nonetheless. Overall, it's a pretty good book with nice characters, nice visuals, and a compelling enough story, but compared to other books, it's nothing genre defining.

A Quote To Identify Me

A quote that most identifies me is a quote that comes from my parents. The quote is: "Life isn't fair." When I was younger, that quote was always said to me when I didn't get my way. My parents still say it to me sometimes to this day sometimes as a joke and sometimes seriously but I can agree after 13 years, that life isn't fair.

I Never Saw Another Butterfly

The poem I chose for my butterfly project was "Sickness" by Franca Bass. This poem tells about a sudden sickness a boy has gott...
