I Never Saw Another Butterfly
The poem I chose for my butterfly project was "Sickness" by Franca Bass. This poem tells about a sudden sickness a boy has gotten. The way the sickness goes away is by his mother reading him his favorite story. I believe this poem tells about how the "sickness" was actually the moving of Jews out of their houses and killing them and the "story" was about how the Germans covered it all up. This poem shows there is more than meets the eye if you read a poem and know context.

Life Is Beautiful Movie Review
Even though I only saw half of the movie due to me not being there the first day we were watching it, I will say that even though I saw the last 45 minutes it was very touching. A man sacrifices his life to save his son from being killed. He sacrificed everything so his son wouldn't be killed in the death camp. Overall, this story tells about self-sacrifice and I would highly recommend it to anyone that is learning about the Holocaust.
My Thoughts On Fourth Quater
What I am most excited about for fourth quater is my middle school years to finally be done. The thing I will do to make this the best part of my year is by getting everything done. I'm ready to move onto high school I feel. As you can guess, I ain't really scared of highschool. I am good academically and socially so I have nothing to be scared of really. Overall, I just want this month and a half to get done with.

The Mysterious Benedict Society Review
The Mysterious Benedict Society follows the story of four gifted children: Reynie Muldoon, George "Sticky" Washington, Kate Wetherall, and Constance Contraire, who all are formed into the "Mysterious Benedict Society," which is a school of vary talented children. These children must go undercover to prove their worth at L.I.V.E, which is the Learning Institute for the Very Enlightened. They face many trials, both physically and mentally so they must turn to each other for support. Only problem is that their newly formed friendship is at stake and that might affect their most important test. Overall, this book has many twists and turns in its plot and that makes it interesting to read and not put it down. The best element of this book is the world building. It builds its four main characters to be likable and have emotion with backstory, not just a typical hero. Now it builds other things too like L.I.V.E but I can't really say anything because it would spoil everything this book builds up to. In conclusion, this book is really good and very recommendable. Best book I have read this year by far.

Tesla's Attic Review
This book starts off as following the troubles of Nick when his house burnt down so him, his dad, and his brother move into house they have inherited. Nick walks up into his attic and gets a toaster flung at his head, but this isn't the beginning of his strange encounter. He later finds out that Nikola Tesla's final inventions were placed in Nick's attic, but he sold most of them in a garage sale. He and his new friends must go and retrieve these inventions before a secret organization of physicists, called the Accelerati, get their hands on the dangerous inventions first. Overall interesting story, good characters, especially Nick, and good climax. Probably the most rounded book I have read so far this year.

Spud Review
I am going to get right into this book because there are a lot of details I must talk about. Spud is a funny book and a good book at being that, but otherwise, everything wasn't as good as its humor. Its story is pretty weak because it only tells a days' thoughts and misadventures of Spud and his school's location in South Africa by only a paragraph or two for every single day of the week. Also, Spud's friends are a background most of the time and never actually contribute to the plot. The comedy is the only thing saving this book. From lady problems to not having any jokes, this book is relatable in every sense and is very funny when they are mentioned but otherwise, that's all its got.

One Word
I chose the word thrifty because I believe that I have all these resources lying around and I do not use them to their fullest extent. One of those resources is money. I don't take my time to compare prices most of the time and rather just buy things depending how good they look. Sometimes when I buy products, I might not use the whole thing. One of those products is food. I might eat only half of the apple and throw the rest out when I should have saved it to eat later. The final thing I am not thrifty at most of the time is time. I do not always control my time correctly and therefore, wasting my time on things or not using it correctly. It may not be every time, but it might happen every now and then when it comes to not using my time correctly. In conclusion, I am going to have thrifty as my One Word and I shall do my best to become thrifty.
